Shipwrecks Passing in the Night Again

(Shipwrecks Passing in the Night, Volume II)
First realized in 2003 on synthesizer with various filters and electronic processing. Real time improvisation. Remix made in 2016.
This composition and the previous, 'Shipwrecks Passing in the Night' (from Volume I), were both inspired by the works of Ingram Marshall, his 'Fog Tropes' in particular.

Artwork: Painting by Caspar David Friedrich, 'Das Eismeer' (1823-24). The work was modified by using two copies (one flipped horizontally), montaging them together to create the final image. Cover Design: Epoch Collapse - a variation on the cover art and design of Volume I - "Caspar David Friedrich Established a Throne in the Sea of Ice".
